Serena Care has no user accounts, no sign-up, and no advertising or tracking cookies. The only information you give us is what you type into the search box — a city, zip code, or facility name — and we keep as little of it as possible, for as short a time as possible.

When you search, the text you typed is used to find nursing homes and then discarded. It is not linked to your name or identity (we never know who you are), and it appears only in short-lived technical logs:

• Hosting logs (Vercel): request logs that include the search text are retained for about one day, then deleted automatically.
• Database logs (Supabase): some lookups include the search text in short-lived API logs that expire automatically on a similar timescale (days, not months).
• Geocoding services: to turn a place name or zip code into map coordinates, our servers query OpenStreetMap Nominatim and zippopotam.us. These services receive only the location text — never your IP address, device details, or anything that identifies you, because the request comes from our servers, not your browser.

We never store your searches in our own database, and we do not build profiles or histories of what anyone searched.

We use Vercel Web Analytics, a cookie-less, anonymized service, to understand aggregate usage (for example, how many searches happen per day). No IP addresses are stored, and visitor sessions cannot be reconstructed after 24 hours. We additionally strip the search text from page addresses before they are reported, and usage events carry only an encoded, truncated location token — never the raw text you typed. Aggregated statistics are retained for up to 12 months.

Browsers may automatically send us standard security reports (Content Security Policy violations) that include the address of the page you were viewing. These contain no identity information, are used only to tune our security settings, and are deleted once reviewed.
